On Wednesday 17th January 2024, a launch event for the opening of EIT (European Institute of Innovation and Technology) DIGITAL new office in Athens was held at the Innovation Center of the Municipality of Athens (INNOVATHENS) in Technopolis with the presence of EIT Digital CEO, Mr. Federico Menna.
The Ionian University was represented in the event by Prof. Adamantia Pateli, Scientific Director of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE) of the Ionian University and Project Coordinator of the DIN-ECO Project, funded by the EIT HEI Initiative (Cohort 2), and Ass. Prof. Naoum Mylonas, member of the management team of CIE and the DIN-ECO Consortium. The DIN-ECO project is classified under the EIT Digital Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) and consists of 9 partners (https://din-eco.eu).
After the launch event, the academic representatives of the Ionian University had a closed meeting with the representatives of EIT Digital with the purpose of expanding existing cooperation (as part of the DIN-ECO project) as well as developing future activities for innovation support at regional (Ionian Region), as well as national, and European level.
